Stevie Wonder and soon to be ex-wife of 11 years Kai Millard have been separated for 3 years, Wonder has officially decided to sign his name on the dotted line. The couple has sited the infamous, “irreconcilable differences” claim with plans to move forward as soon as possible. Millard, a fashion designer, shares two children with Wonder; Kailand,10 and Mandla,7. Don’t get it twisted though ,this isn’t Wonder’s first run in with divorce –  the R&B mogul was previously married to Motown singer Syreeta Wright from 1970 to 1972.

Seal and his former Supermodel wide Heidi Klum have decided to call it off this year. Fans of the couple were shocked when Klum, host of  the hugely popular show “Project Runway” took to twitter announcing their split and thanking fans for all the support.  Although there has been some serious speculation about why the couple has decided to split, ranging from Seal’s raging temper to Klum’s budding affair with her bodyguard boyfriend, Klum took to Katie Couric’s show in September to open up about the relationship. Seal and Heidi had been together for 8 years. The pair has 4 children together, one from Klum’s previous relationship.

Evelyn Lozada

Known for “throwing bows” and pulling weaves, it seems Basketball Wife Evelyn Lozada got into fight that not only slowed her temper, but also caused her to rethink her short lived marriage.  Lozada decided to divorce her husband Chad Ochocinco, just 40 days after saying “I do” in St. Maarten. The duo got into a domestic dispute weeks after saying their vows on 4th of July, when Lozada confronted Ochocinco about a condom receipt she found in the back of his car. Sources say, Mr. Ochocinco became very angry and decided to headbutt his wife in the head leaving a gash in her forehead. Talk about the honeymoon phase. Lozada and Ochocinco also have a pre-nup, although the  6-week marriage hardly qualifies for any large alimony checks.

Martin Lawrence

Famous for his funny lines, Martin Lawrence  has been dealing with a not so humorous situation this year after the comedian announced that he and his wife Shamicka Gibbs had decided that divorce was their only option. Although the couple had only been married for 2 years, they were far from the “traditional newlyweds,” spending 15 years together before they decided to jump the broom. Lawrence and Gibbs share two daughters, Lawrence also has another daughter from his previous marriage to Patricia Southall. No one knows the exact explanation for this split, but it is clear that they do have a pre-nup!

Kevin Hart

Kevin Hart may have many fans laughing, but one person who isn’t amused is the 32 year old comedian’s former wife Torrei Hart. The couple separated in 2010 but the Hart’s finally decided to make it legal April of this year. It would seem a two year separation would call for smooth sailing toward the divorce, but when a judge decided to deny Torrei the 90,000 a month she was seeking in child support, and also ruled that Mrs. Hart pay part of Kevin Hart’s legal expenses the waves got very rough. Multiple sources say Torrei violently attacked Mr. Hart’s legal attorney after the judge’s ruling, causing two officers to pry Hart off of the victim. Kevin Hart has since been ordered to pay $23,000 a month in child support also getting joint custody of their two children, Heaven Leigh and Hendrix.

Todd Bridges

It is no secret that Todd Bridges has had his ups and downs in his personal life. His very public struggle with fame and drugs after his hit 70’s sitcom “Diff’rent Strokes” has never been kept quiet. Sadly enough, 2012 may not have been his year either after filing for divorce from his wife of 14 years. Bridges took to twitter to announce the split tweeting, She’s a great mother im glad to have had the years to know her and have a great kid with her as we know, people grow apart and we did.” This, however, was no overnight detachment; the Bridges first aired their marital issues in 2007 on a show called “Decision House,” where couples received therapy in hopes of repairing their relationships.

Ruben Studdard

Ruben Studdard may be one of the most lucky celebrities to ever get divorced, considering the circumstances at hand. Studdard and his former ex-wife Surata Zuri McCants filed for divorce early this year citing irreconcilable differences. Surata, however, may have done more harm than good after asking a judge to nullify a pre-nup she signed just a few days before their 2008 wedding. Surata claimed she was pressured to sign the agreement but the judge ruled against Ms. McCant and upheld the document. The American Idol superstar left his marriage with all the money he earned during their time together and not having to pay spousal support. McCants wasn’t left totally high and dry; she got to keep her wedding dress, ten thousand dollars in a property settlement, two thousand dollars for attorney fees, a 2006 BMW the judge ordered Studdard had to continue to pay for, and some photo albums. I’d say all is fair in love & divorce…

Zoe Saldana

Though they weren’t married, we had to throw one of our saddest breakups in the mix. Zoe Saldana and fiance Keith Britton decided to call it off after just 11 short years together. Wow. Saldana, an actress, and Britton, an entrepreneur, are business partners in the website My Fashion Data Base and will continue on with this relationship  -business relationship that is.

Stacey Dash

The former star of “Clueless” and “Single Ladies,” Stacey Dash has finally severed ties with her former physically violent husband Emmanuel Xuereb, after what she says was years of domestic abuse. Dash officially announced that she was in fact leaving Xuereb in 2010 but after a couple long years the divorce was finally made official.

Jennifer Lopez

Guess who?! Yes, that’s right, the talented Ms. Jennifer Lopez has made the list although many of us know she has been here a couple of times before. The New York Bred singer decided to divorce her singer/songwriter husband, Marc Anthony, this year after 7 years of marriage. The two enjoyed a quiet at home ceremony in June 2004 just 4 days after his divorce from Anthony’s first former ex-wife, Dayanara Torres but cited irreconcilable differences in April. This is Lopez’s 3rd divorce and Anthony’s 2nd.

Terrence Howard

The drama in Terrence Howard’s life has left the big screen and become a serious reality. Howard’s soon to be ex-wife, Michelle Ghent Howard of only a year has filed for divorce from the Oscar nominated actor. Court documents show that the two often hit and verbally abused one another, with Howard even admitting that Mrs. Howard often called him a “N word,” and a monkey. Rumor has it, the honeymoon was over about a week after the two got divorced in Jan 2009, with Ghent Howard alleging that Terrence broke her computer in half, and punched her in the neck after an argument. Multiple restraining orders have been granted on Ghent Howard’s behalf stating that Terrence stalks her VIA internet and telephone. There is no word on any settlements, but odds are this case may get worse before it gets any better.

Ben Vereen

Ben Vereen has decided to file for divorce from his spouse of 36 years Nancy Bruner Vereen in September. The Tony award winning actor married his bride in July 1976, however Vereen claims they later separated in March of 1977. That doesn’t seem to matter to Mrs. Vereen, who is still filing for spousal support, a file Ben is working very hard to get terminated.

Deion Sanders

Mr. Sanders is serving more that touchdowns this year; the 45 year old football mega-star has decided that, “enough is enough,” in regards to his marriage to Pilar Sanders. Sanders says that he, “wanted a housewife,” not a model or actress and claims that Pilar is not what he signed up for. With multiple rumors of Mr. Sanders outright adultery many were surprised to hear that he indeed was the one to request that the divorce be terminated. Mrs. Sanders has been very open about her desire to work on their marriage, but it seems Dione just isn’t having it.

Morgan Freeman

Mr. Freeman ex-wife Myrna Freeman may be very disgusted with him these days. The marriage of 25 years will be terminated any day now after Myrna got word that Mr. Freeman has been dating his step-granddaughter, E’Dena Hines, for about a decade. The affair, which started when Hines was about 17 years old, was quickly confronted by Myrna with Mr. Freeman agreeing not to let it go any further. Obviously, not so true. Hines has been seen accompanying Mr. Freeman to multiple events. Often introducing her as his, “granddaughter.” Very interesting. Freeman denies all the accusations however.
