Here at StyleBlazer, we love a good man. Not just any man, but the type of man that makes your eyes turn and your heart swoon.

We’re also very aware that there are only a few good men. Luckily, we have an idea of who they are based on their amazing accomplishments this year! From LeBron James winning his first championship to President Obama winning a second term, these fellas have a lot to celebrate.

Jay-Z might have had a hard knock life, but this was definitely his year. From the birth of his first child, Blue Ivy Carter, to the highly anticipated opening of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, there was just no stopping this mogul. He even held a fundraiser and dined with President Barack Obama. Anyone else going to his New Years Eve concert?

Frank Ocean

Singer Frank Ocean single-handedly changed Hip-Hop this year. Before the release of his amazing studio album “Channel Orange,” Ocean released an open letter on his Tumblr page revealed that his first true love was a man. His letter marked the coming end to the “no homo” homophobic rap era.

Kanye West

While “Kanye West Presents GOOD Music Cruel Summer,” was not the album of the year, the anticipation for the album was monumental for the Chicagoan. While his clothing line was misunderstood by most of us, Kanye’s collaboration with designer Giuseppe Zanotti on a pair of Cruel Summer heels has definitely solidified his place in the fashion arena.

LeBron James

King James definitely lived up to his nickname this year. Not only did LeBron James play on the United States’ 2012 Summer Olympics Dream Team this year, bringing home the gold medal for men’s basketball, LeBron got is first NBA Championship ring and was awarded NBA Champion, NBA Finals MVP and NBA Most Valuable Player.

Barack Obama

President Barack Obama secured his second term in office this year. It was a close fight with the President and GOP candidate, Mitt Romney nearly neck-in-neck in the polls. But after securing a few key electoral votes, Obama swept ahead of Romney, which means at least four more years of First Lady Michelle Obama’s great fashion!

Columbus Short

From Stop The Yard to Scandal, Columbus Short has come a long way from his days as a dancer, choreographer. Since emerging on the scene as “Gladiator” Harrison Wright, a member of Olivia Pope’s (Kerry Washington) crisis management firm, Short is definitely an actor on the rise.

Nate Parker

Actor Nate Parker played in a few iconic films this year including Red Tails, paying homage to the Tuskegee airmen, and Red Hook Summer, a Spike Lee joint.

T.J. Holmes

After spending five years on CNN, journalist and TV personality T.J. Holmes jumped to the BET Network to headline is own late night social commentary show, Don’t Sleep.

Anthony Mackie

Actor, Anthony Mackie has been on the acting scene since the early 2000s, you remember him as Papa Doc in 8 Mile, right? Well this actor is having a pretty good year. He’s staring in an upcoming film Gangster Squad and if you’re into fantasy films he played in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

Daniel Craig

Anyone attached to the 007 franchise is definitely winning this year. Fifty years after James Bond first hit the scene, Skyfall may be the highest grossing bond film ever bringing more than $500 million worldwide opening weekend.

Rick Ross

Rick Ross had a pretty good year this year. His album God Forgives, I Don’t hit gold status, a feat in today’s leaked album slash illegal download world. A few of the artist he signed to Maybach Music Group are starting to receive some serious press and make a name for themselves in the music scene as well.

Terrence Jenkins

After a six year stint as a co-host on 106 & Park, we were not sure what was next for actor and TV personality Terrence Jenkins. He showed us his acting chops in Think Like A Man, and now we will get to see a lot more of him as he replaces Ryan Seacrest on E! News with Giuliana Rancic.

After first stepping onto the court as a professional basketball player in 2003 as a 5th overall draft pick, Dwayne Wade helped head his team to a NBA Championship in 2012 and secured his second ring.

Baltimore-born Michael Phelps became the most decorated Olympian of all time at this years 2012 Olympic games. The American swimmer also holds the all-time-record for Olympic gold medals. Guess we should have paid more attention during swim lessons.

Funnyman, Wyatt Cenac is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer and correspondent for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Can someone get us a few tickets to his comedy tour? This dude is hilarious!

Meek Mill

Young Philly bull, Meek Mill signed to Rick Ross’ Mayback Music Group in early 2011 after creating some buzz for himself in the underground mix-tape scene and a failed partnership with T.I.’s label, Grand Hustle. After building anticipation from several mix-tapes and collabos, the 25-year-old released his first studio album “Dreams and Nightmares” debuted at number 2 right below Taylor Swift.

American swimmer Ryan Lochte also had a pretty awesome year at the Summer 2012 Olympics this year. He’s an 11 time Olympic medalist and holds the world record for the 200-meter individual medley (long and short course) and the 400-meter individual medley (short course). Did we mention he’s also quite dreamy?

Kendrick Lamar

Hailing all the way from Compton, California, Kendrick Lamar first started gaining notoriety after being featured in the 2011 annual ‘Freshmen Class’ issue of XXL Magazine. In October of 2012 Kendrick Lamar released his first major studio album “good kid, m.A.A.d city.”

Channing Tatum

Actor, Channing Tatum has had a pretty good year too. He made appearances in four films including The Vow, Ten Years, 21 Jump Street and Magic Mike. He also has a super hot wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum!

The Weeknd

After releasing a nine song free album “House of Balloons,” word of the talented Canadian singer The Weeknd began to quickly fly through the blogsphere. Early this month, he released an album “Trilogy” with Universal Republic Records including remastered versions of his three previous free projects along with a few new tracks.
