Michael Bay & Megan Fox

Michael Bay discovered Megan Fox during the filming of Bad Boys 2, where he cast her in a role as a… well, a hot girl in a swimsuit. That’s okay, though, as the director saw potential in the starlet, the sort of sex appeal that could turn her into a superstar. He did, though the transformation would backfire on both of them. In a notorious interview, Fox discussed Bay’s on-set habits as difficult, using phrases like “He wants to be like Hitler.” By the same token, she praised his personality away from filmmaking, saying “I kind of really enjoy his personality because… he’s so hopelessly awkward… And it’s endearing to watch him.” Two of Bay’s crew members retorted by posting an angry note insulting Fox on the official Michael Bay website. Bay would kill the note and address it publicly, saying “Well, she’s 23,” before concluding “She needs to grow up.” The final verdict came from Stephen Spielberg himself, who told Bay to fire her from Transformers 3. The Fox and Bay have been engaging in a war of words in interviews ever since.
