Last night Gabrielle Union attended the BET Honors 2013 Pre-Dinner, held at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, donning a little white cocktail dress. The dress featured a sweetheart bustline and draping on the left hip that was elegantly secured with a diamond brooch. The actress accessorized the evening look with a hard case clutch—of course—silver, mirrored metallic pumps, and fine jewelry.
Although we love how Gabbby’s overall look was styled—long, soft tresses and smoky eyes included—we weren’t so sold on the dress. The brocade bodice’s sweetheart cut was so wide and pointed it made Union look boxy rather than . And the straight skirt bottom didn’t do much to compliment her lower curves and compensate for what got lost up top. She appears to have slimmed down quite a bit, and this dress didn’t help give her any of that body back. Not to mention the side drape looks like her dinner napkin got caught in her waist. But that’s just us.
