With the powerful movement of the digital age, we are no longer required to be physically at an event. This can also be said about Fashion Week, which now gives us front row access as if our last name was Wintour. Rachel Roy understands this and is the latest designer to follow suit, showing her Fall 2013 collection exclusively on her Facebook page.
“Digital has always been an important platform for telling my story and connecting with women,” she explained to WWD. “I wanted to create a different experience that transcends just a brief moment in time and deliver it in a different way so people can take the time and experience it at their own pace.”
Starting on Feb. 8, Roy will release a sneak peek behind her collection via Twitter, Instagram, Pintrest and Facebook, giving us a taste of the collection including everything from hair to makeup. Her show will be available to view on Feb. 14 at Facebook.com/RachelRoy at 11 a.m.
