Jill Stuart‘s fall 2013 collection was a living dark fantasy. Dark due to the color palette consisting mostly of black, navy and white; a fantasy from the playful patterns and fabrics. The designer paid close attention to textiles with silk laser-cut petals, tailored wool jackets and stitched coated raffia garments, such as an A-line skirt; while perforated pieces were clean-cut, well-detailed and meshed perfectly with rayon and organza. Though the collection was also filled with bow-neck blouses, topcoats with sculpted arms, and organza frocks that are completely sheer in the bust area, one of our favorite pieces happened to be an organza dress that features a t-strap collar and full skirt with gold metallic flowers that look to be hand-painted. The devil was in these details, although overall, Stuart’s fall 2013 collection was simply beautiful due to each garment being classic, feminine and chic.
Take a look inside the collection below and let us know what you think about the whimsical garments.
