Tommy Hilfiger took a trip to the east for his Fall 2013 collection filled with Welsh checks, plaids and houndstooth tailored pieces. The preppy collection took us back to the 90s Clueless days with those patterns also printed on mini skirts, pantsuits, double-breasted blazers and long coats. He also incorporated leather knee-high boots and pumps paired with knee-high socks to compliment each look. A few peacoats with shearling trimming and striped garments, including a suit, coat and pair of shorts, were also presented, though none of these pieces are surprising for the all-American designer. It is the leather, cable knit sweatshirts that Hilfiger went out of the box to achieve—leap of faith that added a new texture to the Hilfiger brand and is set to be a success next fall.
Take a look at the 90s menswear-inspired collection below and let us know if it is calling your inner Dionne.
