Runway Recap: Donna Karan Brings Elegance To Jersey For Fall 2013

Donna Karan took the simple, yet elegant route to her fall 2013 collection. The jersey filled collection featured black, brown and grey bodycon dresses and wrap skirts that can be dressed up or down. To add flavor to the dresses, Karan added sheer panels to a few of the gowns as well as leather, satin and suede to play on the textures. Double-breasted jackets with large-rounded sleeves were worn over some dresses, while shaggy, shearling or fur pieces were worn over others. Long leather gloves, over-the-knee suede boots and opaque hosiery paired with booties were also visible throughout the collection. Though Karan filled her collection with simple fabric choices, the pieces are far from it.
