The Editorialist Has Officially Launched (Shop The Top 5 Pieces We Are Eyeing)

Two weeks ago the Editorialist had a soft launch, but this weekend mark’s the site’s official launch.  The site, created by Kate Davidson and Stefania Allen, Elle’s former Accessories Director and Senior Accessories Editor, respectively, is a “content-to-commerce” site; geared toward luxury, editorial pieces.  Hudson told WWD, “Editorialist.com will oftentimes carry the more “editorial” pieces that appear on the runway but never make it into production.  You can shop most of what we editorialize. We buy into the pieces that we feel the most directional — whether up and coming or established. A lot of the pieces will skew more editorial, whereas the mass retailers might buy the lower heel.”

Currently, the site only has a few products listed, however, according to WWD, that will change with the arrival of pre-fall collections from Valentino, Aperlai, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Chloé, Kelly Wearstler and Balmain.  Although the site is “light” on products, that which it does currently offer are drool inducing.
