Miuccia Prada took a different approach designing her fall 2013 Prada collection. Although it featured her signature lug sole shoes, fabric choices and garment cuts, the presentation took a turn. According to Style.com, Prada took film noir to the next level as she launched what she called “stories of women and life,” as each look had its own story to be told—stories that are left to be created by viewers. What can be said about a woman wearing a belted, full-skirted coat with fur armwarmers and black creepers; or a woman wearing a sweater off her shoulders, under a metallic gold dress? To add more dialogue to the looks, each model sported wispy, matted hair that looked as if they’d been rained on, adding that much more juice to every story. Whoever said fashion could not be cinema, haven’t seen a Prada show.
Take a look at the cinematic collection below and see what stories you’ll get out of each look.
