It’s about to go down! Beyoncé is the new face of H&M‘s summer campaign. Rumors swirled last year that the King was shooting a campaign for the popular brand when she was spotted in the Bahamas, and now we have an official first peek! Bey will appear in “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M” print ads, television commercials, and larger than life billboards when the “Mrs. Carter World Tour” officially kicks off April 15. Not only will King B star in the campaign, she also helped design the looks. H&M Head of Design, Ann-Sofie Johansson says that the line is full of Bey’s personal style, and will feature “the perfect bodycon dress,” a beach gown with a high slit at the thigh, high-waisted shorts and a sleeveless shirt. A quarter of the sales will be donated to the WaterAid charity.
In a release, Bey expressed her excitement in teaming up with H&M:
“I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements – fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial.”
In addition to dominating television this spring (don’t forget about her Pepsi megadeal!), the H&M commercials will also feature Bey’s new song, “Standing On The Sun.”
