Riccardo Tisci Designs Opéra de Paris Ballet Costumes

Givenchy designer, Riccardo Tisci is keeping very busy with a new project designing ballet costumes for the Opéra de Paris, the leading opera company in France.

According to WWD, the designer has made several pieces for the 17-minute spring production “Bolero” premiering May 2. One of four short plays, the costumes Tisci is designing are said to be heavily embroidered and “true to his flamboyant style.” IN addition to his costumes, the set and scenography were designed by Tisci’s friend, artist Marina Abramovic– a Serbian performance artists.
