It’s no secret that A$AP Rocky is a lover of fashion.  He has designer friends that want to dress him and fashion insider cooing over lyrics and eclectic sense of style.  So it came as no surprise when The Coveteur sat down with the rapper for a chat.  For those of you wondering the secret to his flawless skin the answer is Witch Hazel, and exfoliating, because as he puts it “you’ve got to exfoliate, you know?”  When he wasn’t dropping gems on the value of exfoliating, the rapper offered up beauty advise.  Perhaps the most interesting would be his take on red lipsticks, which apparently is not for everyone, specifically dark skin girl.  “I feel like with the red lipstick thing it all depends on the pair of complexion. I’m just being for real. You have to be fair skinned to get away with that.”

Needless to say, we strongly disagree.  Red lipstick flatters all complexion as it is a simple matter of finding the right shade that flatters you best.  To further prove him wrong, we’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite brown girls rocking the rouge lip color..

Check them out below!

I disagree with his comment. There are about 40 different shades of red and there is a shade a red for every skin tone. Sidenote: He has very beautiful skin for a male and he is very handsome :-).

This guy is incorrect. All a woman has to do is find the correct shade of red. I guess I’m kinda confused. Why is this site showing mostly women with medium brown skin tones instead of darker skin tones. He was targeting his dis at dark skin.

Plus, why is this dude so concerned about lipstick? Just sayin’
