Celebrities seem to have it all, the good looks, fame, money and even stellar athletic abilities. Wait, what? Nobody said these people could dribble a ball too! We have come up with a list of celebrities who are not only amazing on the big screen or in the studio but are pretty good on the field or court. Take a look at 15 celebrities who are actually great athletes too.
It is no secret that the 44th President of the United States has a love for basketball. He has been pictured playing a number of pick up games during the duration of campaigns and his presidential career. Barack Obama has also been photographed with good friend Tiger Woods playing a game of golf or two. Rumors once surfaced that Mr. Obama led the Occidental College in scoring in 1979, although that has never been confirmed nor denied.

1o6 & Park‘s newest host Bow Wow grew up in the spotlight, and one thing that seemed to always accompany him was a basketball. Rapper Bow Wow’s childhood video, “Basketball” shows him dribbling and showing off his basketball skills for the camera while rapping about how well he plays! The Roll Bounce star also played the main character in the 2002 movie Like Mike in which he was depicted a young basketball star.

Ice Cube has a love for music, but he also dabbles in athletics every now and again. He has been interviewed on several ESPN shows to give his two cents on various football and basketball teams. He has aslo been seen flaunting his abilities during past celebrity football games and outings!
J.Cole does not play when it comes to basketball! If you step up to challenge him, rumor has it, he will do his best to embarrass you and the 28-year-old North Carolina rapper did just that during the 2012 Celebrity NBA All-Star Game. During the game, Cole was served an alley opp from funnyman Kevin Hart, and not only did he catch the pass mid-air, but also slammed dunked it. Well excuse us Cole!

If Jessica Biel’s body isn’t a testament to her athletic talents, then we don’t know what is! The 31-year-old 7th Heaven star says she played a lot of sports growing up, including gymnastics and soccer. The natural abilities grew into a lifestyle for Justin Timberlake’s wifey, who enjoys a lot of outdoor activities these days to stay fit like snowboarding, biking, hiking and rollerblading.

Ok, so Kevin Hart is obviously in the “honorable mention” category when it comes to this particular list! But let’s face it, he did win MVP for the 2012 NBA Celebrity All-Star Game. The comedian does have a few athletic friends, and maybe they are teaching him a couple of things here and there, though we doubt he will be ever to dunk a ball without someone picking him up!
Master P, who? So this guy has been off the radar for quite a few years, but he is still recognized as one of the industry’s most athletic celebrities to ever do it. While we all knew him for making us say “uh na nah na nah…,” those on the basketball court respected him for his skills. Master P scored two contracts with two NBA teams, first with the Charlotte Hornets during the 1998-’99 season and later with the Toronto Raptors in the 1999 pre-season.
People‘s Sexiest Man Alive 2005 doesn’t seem to be loosing his good looks or amazing body structure anytime soon. Partly because he loves to work out, stay fit, and play sports! From a very early age, McConaughey grew up playing various sports from basketball to tennis and golf. He can be seen these days training with NBL teams to stay in shape and working out daily in someone’s gym. Matt also takes the idea of team sportsmanship and honesty very seriously. When the actor’s friend Lance Armstrong admitted to use of illegal steroids, he publicly voiced his disappointment.

Nelly has skills on the football field, and if you haven’t seem him play at least on the big screen, then you’re missing out. The “Country Grammar” rapper has been described by ESPN commentators as “treacherous on the field,” giving fair warning to anyone that thought about challenging him in a sporting event. Nelly got to show off some of his talents portraying a incarcerated character in the 2005 movie, The Longest Yard. His athletic talents also extend to the baseball field- he thought about playing professionally but later changed his mind to pursue a music career.
While Dawn Richards may be struggling to retain a musical career, one area she apparently isn’t having many issues in comes in the form of athletics. The singer-songwriter gained her love for singing and dancing because her mother owned a dance studio. She would dance there for hours, gaining her great figure.
Romeo apparently got a couple of genes from her father- not only did he gain his musical side but his love for basketball! After putting his rap career on hold to gain some educational background, Romeo went on to play for the University of South Carolina Trojans. The team describes him as “extremely quick and an unselfish point guard who plays exceptionally hard and sees the court well. Miller thrives on defense and is a three-point specialist.”
When Snoop Dogg is not too busy puffing on things that aren’t illegal in every state yet, he does his best to stay active or at least coach a team or two. The Dogg coached both of his sons for eight years until they went on to pursue other endeavors including solo musical careers and playing college football. Snoop’s latest athletic endeavors include becoming an ambassador for the “FIFA Soccer 13” game that was released last year.

We don’t know if it’s the tattoos or the rock hard abs, but we can tell The Rock has a gym membership somewhere! After an injury ended his college football career too soon, The Rock decided to join forces with the Word Wrestling Federation. While he is known more now for starring in big screen movies including the Fast And Furious sequel and his upcoming movie, Pain & Gain, Johnson still appears in the ring every now and then to remind us of, “what The Rock is cooking.”
