The gloves are off, and so are the hats, ladies. It’s time to tackle your hair care for the spring and summer seasons, starting with the first step in everyone’s routine—cleansing.
I recently had a chance to test out the new Chi Keratin Set, which includes:
- The Chi Keratin Shampoo: formulated with jojoba and argan oils combined with Keratrix to deeply cleanse hair while providing all day protection and hydration
- The Chi Keratin Conditioner: formulated with jojoba and argan oils combined with Keratrix to deeply condition hair for locking in moisture and smoothing distressed strands
- The Chi Keratin Leavin-In Conditioner: a unique reconstructing treatment designed to infuse damaged hair with a powerful dose of natural keratin to rebuild hair’s cuticle
- The Chi Keratin Silk Infusion: a powerful reconstructing complex designed to heal and hydrate dry, damaged hair. Natural keratin rebuilds the hair’s cuticle, while silk penetrates deep into the hair to retain moisture and smooth the cuticle. Also improved elasticity, prevent future breakage, while intensely hydrating to restore softness and add shine
I have a mixed hair type of waves, curls, and coils. The Chi Keratin Shampoo did give my strands a noticeably thorough cleansing; while the conditioner, featuring the same formula, made my hair feel incredibly soft through the application process, was great for detangling, and made the hair feel soft after rinsing as well. I used the Silk Infusion before or after styling to add more softness to my hair, but particularly loved it as a polish to increase shine. I was not as successful with the spray-in leave-in conditioner. I generally have not had success with many spray-formula leave-in conditioners, preferring heavier formulas in creams that can tame and lock in the patterns for all of my hair. So the leave-in may be better for other, possibly straighter hair types that require intense moisture therapy and curl-defining.
Overall, I would recommend curly to straight girls give this set a try! It might be just the system you need for repairing your strands for the coming seasons.
The set is currently available and retails for an affordable $48 at Ulta and other Beauty Brands.
