Nicki Minaj debuted her video “Fly” featuring Rihanna during the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards over the weekend. Despite the outrageous red carpet look she displayed during the awards, we have to give it to Nicki for keeping it creative and visually pleasing in this video.
The song “Fly” is about the survival of the fittest and even though it’s very early in Nicki’s career, she will probably having lasting impressions in the game with her unique hair and makeup alone. In wigs probably created specifically for her (and probably under her direction) she rocks out in a leopard wig, a pink pixie cut like wig, a black curly gumby styled wig, and a mohawk inspired zebra colored wig. Her make up doesn’t change too much, keeping Barbie in mind she went for eyeliner with glitter in the corner of the lids with a pale pink lip shade.
