Who runs the world? L’Oreal launched the Woman of Worth Awards in 2006 to celebrate the every day women who make a global impact. And this year the beauty brand will highlight women across five different generations, with Glee star Lea Michele as the official spokesperson. In an interview with WWD, L’Oreal Paris president Karen Fondu explained the mission of the awards:

“Each year, we continue to evolve the program to honor and support women making beautiful differences in their communities. New this year, to appeal to a wider range of ages, we decided to organize nominations by decades: 18-29 year olds, 30-39 year olds, 40-49 year olds, 50-59 year olds and 60+ year olds. Two honorees will be selected from each age group. Whether in college or retired, we know women of all ages are making phenomenal contributions and we want to recognize and celebrate these achievements.”

Lea will help select the winners along with the L’Oreal team.
