Like an instant shock wave, cities all over the country viscerally reacted to the not guilty judgement of the George Zimmerman criminal case for the killing of Florida teenager, Trayvon Martin in 2012. On Saturday and Sunday people from San Francisco to D.C. peacefully protested to voice their disappointment.

In Brooklyn, local activists, politicians and residents gathered at Borough Hall to show their upset for the verdict and sign a NAACP petition to pursue federal civil rights chargers. In the mix was Solange Knowles, who was very vocal on Twitter about the case. Blending in with the crowd in a crop top and cutoff shorts, she sat on the steps of the courthouse and spoke to the crowd of a few hundred. Solemn but strong in words, the StyleBlazer came out for a serious cause with a serious message.
