Who Blazed It Better: Estelle vs. Corinne Bailey Rae (Alice + Olivia Maxi Dress)

When a dress is a show stopper, more than one woman is bound to wear it on the red carpet. And that’s exactly what happened with Alice + Olivia’s Chloe colorblock maxi dress. Corinne Bailey Rae and Estelle wore the dress within days of one another: Corinne to the Christian Siriano presentation and Estelle to Us Weekly’s 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers event.

Though the British singers rocked the same dress, they chose different hues and accessories. Corinne kept her black and white combo simple with a thin belt and chain strap purse while Estelle’s red and black dress was topped off with a wide leather belt, clutch and purple platforms. Same dress, but such different styles.

    honestly, i don't like the dress on either one of them.

    Estelle wore it better because she accessorized better notwithstanding the shoes, which look hideous from here. The wide belt is what really makes the dress stand out. It can be hard to pull off a maxi dress with a skinny belt because it can get lost and blend in and not look appealing which is what happened with Corinne. Corinne also made the mistake of not pressing the dress. There are tons of wrinkles at the bottom of her dress. It doesn't look like she put much effort into her ensemble. Corinne is one of my favorite singers but this dress isn't working for her.
