So much news stirring around Donatella Versace’s very popular label.

First things first, she presented her Spring 2014 collection on Friday that mixed the edginess of a cowgirl with the flirtation of a rocker chick. Yes, both concepts can overlap, which was probably why there was so much crisscross boob action going on. Seriously, the bandeau and halter situation throughout the entire collection was a lot.

For classic Versace fans, Dontella intermixed with ease metallic and lacey floor length gowns– equally as complicated to step into. For us more timid girls, she had great flared skirts, skin-tight pants, pencil skirts and leather shorts to work into everyday. Diversity was not a care for the Italian brand, as only one of the models was black and two were Asian.

Stake in the company has been a point of news as the brand is in talks about selling a minority share to interested parties. Partially owned by Versace family members, Goldman Sachs and Intesa Sanpaolo’s, they’re said to be a drawing up a short list of interested investors and announcing who’ve they’ve chosen in October.
