New Yorker Maya Lake is the founder and designer of the print-heavy, African-inspired brand Boxing Kitten. This isn’t a brand that you’ll see displayed in every fashion shop, but those style mavens in the know really adore her clothes.
Solange Knowles is a huge fan, and Boxing Kitten clothes fit perfectly with her eclectic, funky style. Other celebs known for loving their Boxing Kitten pieces are Fergie, Erykah Badu and Alicia Keys.
For the Fall 2011 collection, the brand doesn’t stray too far from their tried and tested formula – and with ethnic and tribal prints looking to be huge going into next Spring, these looks are absolutely on trend.
