While perusing a photo agency website, we can came across a side-by-side image of Jessica Alba wearing the super cute Boom! sweatshirt from the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection on two different occasions. But what raised our brows was the caption, “Jessica Alba wears the same Phillip Lim French Terry sweatshirt with Boom print on the the set of ‘How To Make Love Like An Englishman’ yesterday as that worn to the 3.1 Philip Lim for Target Launch event.” In the words of Cher from “Clueless”, that’s like way harsh.
It’s no secret that celebs are always under constant pressure to look good and that they’re photographed a majority of the time they leave their houses, so it’s a lot easier to spot if they wear something more than once. Jessica Alba is one of the most stylish stars in Hollywood—should it really matter that she’s wearing an article of clothing more than once?
More public figures and style icons like Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton are fairly regular repeat offenders. Lucky mag’s new star EIC Evan Chen informed attendees at this month’s Lucky FABB Conference 2013 that editors repeat things they love all the time, while famous fashion blogger Bryanboy admitted to being caught in the same things over and over.
Isn’t it better to repeat something than to toss it to the side? We think it’s a bit refreshing to see a celeb wearing something more than once, like regular people do. So we say brava, Alba! You wear that Boom sweatshirt until the seams fall off.
