While the runways of high end designer’s have received a lot of criticism about their lack of women of color, there’s always one show where a diverse range of women are present. Last night’s 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show at the Lexington Armory in NYC saw the likes of about two dozen women walking the show, many who are of color.

While the usual suspects –Chanel Iman and Selita Ebanks– didn’t walk, the show didn’t lack for beautiful angels in their best lingerie. Some favorite looks came from Lais Ribeiro and Maria Borges, who are fairly unknown by name but recognizable by face.

See all the gorgeous ladies of color who walked the show on the next pages!

Whoever came up with this list needs to be fired! How in the heck are you going to include Angels that have been walking for them for years, i.e. Adriana Lima, Isabel G, and Alessandra Ambrosio. So technically there were only NINE! AND, only one of them was Dark Skinned! So are the runways still lacking……YES!!!

      God Bless you!

Thank you! Alessandra and Izabel are of 100% European ancestry. Their families have just been in Brazil a few generations and consider themselves to be Latina and a part of the culture. Adriana is the only one who is a mix of European, Native American and African ancestry.

Maybe some of them are women of colour but they still all have the same, generic, eurocentric looks, with Farah Fawcett hair – nothing unique, very typical cookie cutter Victoria Secret
