So you know how a successful all-black outfit comes about because of a good mix of textures? So does a good all-black nail art design! How cute is this polka dot look we found on Pinterest? What makes it work is it mixes glossy black with matte black. Plus the best thing is you only need one nail polish color to pull it off 🙂

You’ll need:

1. A jet black nail polish (try Formula X for Sephora Dark Matter)
2. A matte top coat (we like butter London Matte Finish Shine Free Topcoat)
3. Base coat

First apply your base coat and then two coats of the black polish. Top it off with the matte top coat for a shine-free finish. Allow your nails to dry completely. Then using the tip of the nail brush, use the same black lacquer to create dots on the bed of your nail. Avoid a top coat as it will alter the shine-free finish of your base. And you’re done!
