After over a year of anticipation, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is finally set to make its debut tonight in select theaters at midnight and nationwide tomorrow, on Friday, November 22nd. We’d be lying if we weren’t beyond excited about both the premiere and the ridiculous fashions. If you’re anything like us you’ve probably rewatched the first film in the series, only to realize just how far J.Law has come in a years time. Though we’re very much aware this series is actually aimed at teens (and maybe even pre-teens) we’re seriously on “The Hunger Games” bandwagon and we’re not afraid to admit it! Take a look at the style tips we picked up from the first film as we anxiously countdown to the films premiere. “Happy Hunger Games, may the odds ever be in your favor!”:
Throw A Braid On It!
Katniss has some of the best braid work we have ever seen. After seeing this look on the big screen we definitely noticed more braids in and around our office, as well as in the world of fashion!
In fact, Jennifer Lawrence herself sported a variation of one of her character’s signature braids to a premiere last year and the results were stunning!
Make A Statement: “The Girl On Fire”
Who could forget “The Girl On Fire”? Make a statement in a stand out look and you’ll forever be noticed and remembered for it.
Continuing in her character’s statement making style, J.Law herself recently debuted this look at one of the red carpet premieres for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” and the finished look was certainly something to talk about!
Lenny Kravitz’s Guyliner Is Everything
Not many men can pull off eyeliner and gold eyeshadow but not many men are Lenny Kravitz either. Though we’re not advocating you put eyeliner on the men in your life, there is something to be said about eye catching liner.
Go for bold with MAC’s Graphic Black Technakohl Liner to line, define and make eyes pop.
Don’t Skimp On Outerwear
Katniss’ signature outwear was essential to her survival and while we’re sure your day to day struggle isn’t anywhere near “Hunger Games” level proportions, it never hurts to be prepared for the elements.
For a recent interview with “Good Morning America” Jennifer Lawrence topped her dress with a fabulous coat, resulting in an amazing overall look.
Never Underestimate The Power of Accessories!
While the mocking jay pin may be a symbol through out the entire “Hunger Games” series it’s also an accessory at it’s core. Never underestimate the power of a few charms.
DANNIJO Joanna, $745
This necklace from DANNIJO is absolutely stunning. Both strong in appearance and beautiful, it’s surely the secret weapon behind any outfit.
