UNICEF Taps 42 Fashion Designers To Participate In Designer Doll Initiative

UNICEF– a not-for-profit agency of the United Nations responsible for programs to aid education and the health of children and mothers in developing countries– tapped 42 fashion designers to participate in its 11th edition designer dolls initiative, also known as Les Frimousses or little faces. According to WWD, this year there will be a total of 93 pieces from fashion houses such as Chanel, Dior and Lanvin; the selected group will also include seven interior designers and 36 artists.

The dolls will go up for auction on December 2nd at the Four Seasons Hotel Georges V., though prior to will be on show at the Petit Palais from Nov. 26 to Dec. 1. Proceeds from the sale will go towards helping vaccinate children in Sudan’s Darfur region.
