One of the more serious songs off “Beyoncé” is “Pretty Hurts.” It’s basically a melodic cry out for help from every southern pageant girl.

In the video, Beyoncé wears a TON of pieces that all show the progression of her character. There’s essentially three personalities in one woman: the demure pageant girl, the troubled perfectionist and the glamorous renegade. And of course, we found pieces from each.

Her pageant girl looks clearly tapped into the singer’s Texan roots– going for classic girlie pieces. Bey wore a 50s-cut Norma Kamali “Bill Mio One Piece” yellow one-piece (found here), a star-print strapless dress and Gumball Poodle “Gangsta” socks (found here).

For her troubled perfectionist style, the singer went with more complicated pieces that show intense structure or heavy weight– symbolizing the internal struggle. Beyoncé werked The Blonds crystal necklace in one scene and Norma Kamali “OMO Gym Boy Shorts” two-piece set (found here),

Her last a most fabulous personality was the glamorous renegade, which allowed for the most authentically bold pieces. Beyoncé wears a sequin bralette (similar style found here) and pair of Giuseppe Zanotti Star-Detail Suede Cage Bootie-Sandals (found here).

See all three personalities in the clip, below:
