What’s the first thing you do in the morning? If you’re anything like most stylish young women, you reach for your phone and get to scrolling and double tapping on Instagram. The search for morning style inspiration always provides a range of looks and pieces to covet, but often times coveting is all you can do. Until now. Until Keep.com. Keep.com is a Pinterest-like website that keeps track of the most stylish people on Instragram and helps you find and shop for the items they post.
Keep.com co-founder and president Mary Ann Bekkedahl told Mashable, “Instagram is where all the fashionable young women are spending their mornings. It’s kind of where all the young, sexy girls are. So we said, ‘Hey, what can we do here?'”
Here’s how it works. Keep.com has a whole page on their website devoted to Instagram style picks, “As Seen On Instagram.” Users can go to the site and browse items (like the dress pictured above). Just like Pinterest, you simply click on the items you like and are directed to the retailer. And unlike Pinterest, the Instagram style section of Keep.com is kept up by a team of employees who make sure that all the posts go to the right places, so you aren’t just directed to a random Tumblr image and left to fend for yourself.
Keep.com does more than just help you shop Instagram. In the same vein as Pinterest, Keep.com allows you to “keep” images you like from around the web. The site is marketed to women in their 20s and 30s, but with the reach of social media growing by the day (even my mom has an Instagram), shoppers of all ages will be able to enjoy a site like Keep.com. CEO Scott Kurnit thinks so, too, telling Mashable, “If we keep executing as we are, the average women is going to say, ‘I need Amazon and I need Keep.'”
