There once was a time when athletes, specifically basketball players, could care less about their style. They embraced the baggier the better fashion motto, but now that’s all changed thanks to ballers like Dwyane Wade and Amare Stoudemire. Wade is the latest athlete to grace the pages of GQ magazine. The Miami Heat Guard rocks fitted blue and charcoal suits for the November issue. He talks about how working with his stylist, Calyann Barnett, has helped him evolve his look.
“When we first started working together, she was just trying to get the baggy jeans off me. I used to wear 2X and 3X shirts. At first people were talking about me, but now everyone is wearing their clothes more fitted.”
We certainly appreciate his grown man style.
