Over cocktails, hors d’oeuvre, bouquets of orchids and light music the team at Vince Camuto lured us over to test their new scent at their VC Signature location in midtown. With a name like “Femme” and lavender packaging perfect for Zsa Zsa Gabor’s boudoir, we certainly had preconceived notions about the scent.
Musky, alcohol-heavy, aged– preconceived notions.
To our surprise, Vince Camutio’s Femme is for the modern woman who wants a statement scent that’s not overpowering. In fact its medley of bergamot, mandarin, pink pepper, jasmine, amber and vanilla actually combine to make an alluring scent perfect for spring. Sort of fruity, sort of woodsy.
“Femme is about celebrating women,” said Vince Camuto. “When creating this fragrance, I was inspired by an array of remarkable icons across the decades. There is something enchanting about a lady with confidence; her presence along can captivate a room. The woman I created this fragrance for is strong and determined, yet effortlessly beautifully.”
On that note, what else is there to say? Yes, right! It’s in Macy’s locations nation-wide and is $60 for a 1.7oz eau de parfum.
