After a day of fashion shows for the fashion set, celebrities turned out for the annual EE British Academy Film Awards. The top prize of the Stephen Fry hosted night went to Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave, for best film. Other awards went to American Hustle, which picked up three including best supporting actress for Jennifer Lawrence, Blue Jasmine, a best actress win which makes Cate Blanchett’s third award and The Great Gatsby.
As always, the winners weren’t confined to the show’s stage. As red carpet season hurtles towards the Oscars, celebrties donned some of their best. Check out some of our favorite looks from the carpet!
The 12 Years actress donned a green Christian Dior Haute Couture gown for the awards. Known for not shying away from color, Nyong’o paired the gown with gold Ana Khouri cuffs and Christian Louboutin shoes.
Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt
The power couple played off each other well. Angelina was sexy and slightly tousled in a sharp, slim Saint Laurent suit, and Brad was clean and distinguished in his Valentino compliment.
Harris continues to do her part in what’s quickly becoming a two-woman power team of “women of color in color” wearing a shocking pink Gucci gown on the red carpet.
Opting for the sultry, American Hustle actress Amy Adams reached for an all black Victoria Beckham dress with a sheer off the shoulder panel.
They say if it isn’t broken don’t fix it and that’s definitely a methodology that British musician Tinie Tempeh takes to heart. For the BAFTAs he went for one of his tried and true formulas: navy velvet blazer with black lapel, this time Burberry, plus trousers and slip on loafters.
