In an effort to raise funds for her namesake charity, the strapless dress worn by Amy Winehouse on the cover of her Back to Black album is up for sale. The Amy Winehouse Foundation is a charitable organization initiated by the Winehouse family to meet the needs of, provide support and care for young people in the UK and abroad.
The dress is estimated to bring in between £10,000 to £20,000 for the organization. The strapless polka dot dress was designed by Central Saint Martin’s graduate Disaya Sorakraikitikul. Truth be told if this were being done for anything other than a benevolent and philanthropic motive it would be just plain wrong. The dress hits the auction block on November 29th.
