As a teenager, AFRODELIK’s designer, Desiree Marshall, fell in love with elements that represented her as a young black girl growing up in Canada. Popular TV shows, African culture, Rock, Soul and Funk music, and the bounce and groove of the Afro were some of the images Marshall visualized when she decided to design a clothing line decades later.
In 2006 the AFRODELIK apparel brand launched. The mission was to create functional fashion that embraced the African American experience. AFRODELIK creates art collections that celebrate culture through bold, funky and inspirational hand drawn images. The line is known for their eye-catching tees and continues to expand their collection with handbags, wooden jewelry, textured bow ties and curve-hugging dresses all adorning AFRODELIK’s original sketches. The AFRODELIK collection is available worldwide and is adored by many cultures.
