There’s something to be said for timeless pieces… that have a timeless cost attached to them. On Tuesday night, Nate D. Sanders Auctions bought Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’ black satin Dior bag for $31,250. The Los Angeles based auction house specializes in celebrity memorabilia and boast a wide variety of goods from historical figures.
Onassis’ love for fashion was one of her defining characteristics. A regular in Europe, the former first lady was a fan of Balenciaga, Chanel and Emanuel Ungaro.
The bag was previously owned by former Kennedy chauffeur James H. Boyer Sr, whom a few goods were passed down to.
