Willow And Jaden Smith Make Vanity Fair's Young Hollywood List

Willow And Jaden Smith, On The Verge Of Hollywood Stardom

She likes Doc Martens, he likes drop-crotch pants, and they both prefer to take the road less traveled. Whom do we speak of you might ask? As if you couldn’t tell from the photo: They are Willow and Jaden Smith, progeny (this word sounds more scientific than offspring, which is obviously fitting) of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, and both were named to Vanity Fair’s “Next Wave of Hollywood” list.

Along with 21 other young Hollywood up and comers Willow and Jaden were honored as rising talents who “have a huge variety of major projects on the horizon, from new spins on classic fairy tales to high-profile sequels to some of the summer’s biggest potential blockbusters.”

For Jaden, that means the next installation of “The Karate Kid,” which he filmed with Jackie Chan, but Willow’s next project remains a mystery–her IMDB page lists nothing after a short stint on 2009-2010’s “True Jackson, VP.”

Outside of their projects, which are sure to garner major buzz just by association, we’re impressed with Willow and Jaden’s polished, more grown up looks. Long gone are the days when Willow was whipping her hair back and forth, and Jaden admits to trying to stay away from his phone as much as possible (so does that mean no more interesting tweets?). The Smith kids are growing up, and we like the look of it.

Check out the behind-the-scenes video of Willow, Jaden, Zoe Kravitz and the 20 other young actors Vanity Fair calls “Hollywood’s Next Wave.” Get to know all the actors in the July issue of the magazine–Shailene Woodley is on the cover, you won’t be able to miss it.

  • Giselle Childs @gisellechilds

You’re right! We meant to say “The Smith kids.” Thanks for pointing that out!

  • KeepingItReal

Willow is beautiful. She can easily be a top model in the near future. Beautiful family.

She’s gonna be gorgeous when she grows up

      • PolkaDots

With the help of a TON of plastic surgery.

    • PolkaDots

Not! She’ll have plastic surgery by the time she turns 21.

i smell an old bitter ugly women…gpd why do you women on this site always hate on children, its either your talking trash about blu ivy’s hair, or hating on the smiths children for being different, you women are sick and need to grow up

        • PolkaDots

No – The only people who need to be ALLOWED to GROW UP are these children…But they can’t do that when their PARENTS permit them to be little adults.

It’s like straight from the womb to the street. It doesn’t work that way…I stand by my words – Plastic surgery by 21.

  • Taylor

i dont see how they earned a spot must of these kids have credits there only famous because of their parents and lack talent

    • KeepingItReal

That’s no different than countless others like Angelina Jolie, Charlie Sheen, Gwyneth Paltrow and Michael Douglas. Give them a chance.

      • Taylor

i have ive seen them act, sing, rap and dance and lack talent also their is way to much controversy surrounding them at such as young age successful celebrity kids are usually unknown and lovable not spoiled little rich kids

        • KeepingItReal

So….how do you think their “talent” compares to the “talents” of Angelina Jolie et. al. WHEN THEY WERE CHILDREN? I guarantee you…their talents AS CHILDREN are far superior to the aforementioned talents when they were children. Just saying….

  • oplease

What they need to do is get some knowledge and stop focusing on being the center of attention.
