Happy birthday Selena Gomez! She is already having a wild week with Gaza Gate, because everything this girl puts out there for public consumption causes waves of mass media hysteria and sends rumor mills into overdrive. Since it’s her special day, we’re celebrating by counting down Selena Gomez’s 15 most shocking social media moments.

Just three days ago, Gomez ruffled fans feathers posting the above message on Instagram with the controversial caption, “Please pray for those families and babies today. Please always remember what’s important in life. It’s not any of this. We are here to help, inspire and love. Be that change. #wearethenextgeneration”.

Just hours later, Gomez posted this photo, saying, “And of course to be clear, I am not picking any sides. I am praying for peace and humanity for all!“.

When a cyber bully commented on one of Selena’s Instagram photos, “Burn in hell with cancer” earlier this month, Gomez commented the above on one of the young woman’s photos and posted a screen shot of it on her own IG account. She also tweeted the image of the message, saying, “Honestly, I don’t speak up much because it’s simply *always* taken out of context. But I don’t take bullying well. I have seen too much to not say anything”.

She posted this racy boudoir style shot of herself in a sheer curtain and apparently not much else back in March.

After her on-again off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber was photographed by paparrazzi cannoodling with other women, Gomez took to both Instagram and Twitter to post a screen shot of this text convo with the caption, “That’s who you wanna wake up to. #promise”.

Also amid reported relationship turmoil with the Biebs, she posted “Taking my power back.. can’t wait to show you where I’ve been. I love y’all. Ps, I still obsess over pickles” along with this bikini clad pic of herself playing in the surf.

After spending Coachella with Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Selena reportedly found sexy pics from Kylie on Justin Bieber’s phone. She unfollowed the Jenner girls on social media and deleted photos of them from her accounts abruptly, erupting in worldwide gossip and speculation about the incident.

Back in June, Justin Bieber posted this photo of himself and Selena snuggling, with the caption “Our love is unconditional.” Gomez reportedly reprimanded him, and the photo was deleted soon after it was posted.

Selena posted this sexy Instagram pic of herself sandwiched between Chad Overstreet and Lily Collins, where she is seemingly about to plant a kiss on her female friend.

Gomez reignited rumors that she and The Biebs were heading for a reconciliation back in December 2013 when she liked a fan’s Instagram photo depicting a then-happy Selena and Justin.

She sent tongues wagging when posted this super hot photo of herself and some girlfriends in a hot tub last August.

Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez

When former BFF Demi Lovato unfollowed Gomez over this past July 4th weekend after tweeting “Swimming away from the bulls–t bye bitch” along with a graphic of Lovato swimming away, the rumor mill went into overdrive that the two were feuding. Shockingly, Selena stayed mum.

After Lorde labeled Selena’s “Come and Get it” lyrics as antifeminist in a Rolling Stone interview, Selenators erupted in fury with anti-Lorde sentiments on Twitter. Gomez responded saying, “I appreciate everybody’s opinion, especially because I’ve covered her music lots of times. But I think at the same time that feminism and that specific thing is very sensitive, because in my opinion it’s not feminism if you’re tearing down another artist. So that’s the only thing that I feel, but you know, she’s young, she’s got so much talent, she’s gonna take over, she gets it, so I don’t take it to heart.”

Selena answered a fan who asked “but how do you know who you are” with a screen shot of her partial long winded response as she was typing.

Just weeks ago, Gomez tweeted back to a fan who tweeted (presumably about Bieber) “Girl, LET HIM GO! It’s…toxic”. Her response? “You’re always listened to. And usually always right.”
