When it comes to collaborations you should always expect the unexpected from MAC cosmetics. They have a history of unexpected alliances and amazing execution of said collaborations– just look at any number of their past collaborative collections. And the cosmetic giant is at it once again, this time teaming up with supermodel/actress/author, Brooke Shields.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, Shields was tapped to create an Icon collection and that she did with the largest one to date– consisting of 15 stockkeeping units. The centerpiece of the collection, priced at $85, is a 16-shade eye-shadow palette. It offers a bevy of shades, ranging from “Pretty, a soft golden peach beige, to Carbone, a matte black shade.” But your options won’t stop there, she also included a large selection of finishes, “from satin and frost to Veluxe pearl and shimmer”.
As to be expected, no Brooke Shields makeup collection would be complete without brow products– she was causing brow envy long before Cara Delevingne strong-armed our consciousness. She covered her bases with a Veluxe Brow Liner in a midtone muted gray ($20), and a brow set with clear gel ($17). The collection will also included two Veluxe Pearl Fusion Shadows ($44 each), a Cremeblend Blush Duo ($31); two shades of lipstick ($22 each); a bronzer ($27.50); two Lipglasses ($22 each); two shades of nail lacquer ($17 each), and Optimum Black Opulash mascara ($17).
The collection will be available in North American MAC stores on Oct. 2 and will hit international shelves later that month.
