#LFW Day 4 Recap: Designers Mix High and Low

#LFW Day Four Recap: Designers Mix High and Low

lfw day 4

Ever since dresses and sneakers were worn down the Spring 2014 Couture shows of Chanel and Christian Dior, the relaxed formalwear look has been a hit. Once we noticed everyone trading in their platforms for the hottest pairs of Nikes last spring, we knew that the trend was here to stay, and designers confirmed that yesterday at London Fashion Week. Cropped denim jackets and flat sandals were paired with tulle dresses, fish-scaled skirts and organza, sheer ensembles at Burberry Prorsum. While the folks over at Issa and Erdem sent models down the runway in sweaters paired with statement skirts, our favorite look was the pale blue sheer sweater paired with the 3D feathered skirt at Erdem. Peter Pilotto and Giles toned down looks as well as metallic, embroidered dresses were paired with athletic-style flat sandals (similar to the ones seen at Burberry) at Pilotto and oversized, sequin sweaters and t-shirt dresses paired with oxford flats at Giles. Designers are putting a new meaning to mixing high and low, and it’s no longer about the cost of things, but the look.

Take a look to see how designers brought causal to formalwear at day four of LFW.

  • You really make it seem so easy together with your presentation but I in finding this matter to be actually something that I feel
I would by no means understand. It sort of feels too complex
and very vast for me. I’m having a look forward for your next
put up, I will attempt to get the hang of it!
