The speed at which pieces can go from runway to red carpet can be quite blinding. The desire and even pressure in the fashion industry not only to be the best but the first — the first to design, the first to shoot, the first to discover and the first to wear — makes the whole gamut a bit of a competition and that competitive spirit was on display at Vogue Italia’s 50th Anniversary.
The Pucci show was two days ago, as was the Dolce & Gabbana presentation. Versace was only the day before that and yet dresses from all three of these shows turned up for the crowning event to Milan Fashion Week! And while one might expect that a model could wear a piece directly off the runway — being the epitome of sample size and all — even Anna Wintour got in on the fray, turning up at the event in the finale look from the Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2015 show (and we have to say, she looked pretty good!)
