For those of you who are planning on going to the Alexander Wang for H&NM launch but aren’t positive that you’re going to find something that will fit into your wardrobe, we have something for you. As the latest in a string of high fashion collaborations, this launch will be a dual-launch, with the release of a commemorative book by the fast-fashion giant.
Entitled “The First Ten Years,” the book will take a look back at all of the high fashion collaborations starting with Karl Lagerfeld. Inside, you’ll find quotes from the likes of Karl Lagerfeld. “Inexpensive is not ‘cheap’ anymore, that’s why the luxury industry has to make an even bigger effort,” says Lagerfeld in the book. “I think all that is very healthy.”
Of the designers you’ll see imagery from are Donatella Versace, Alber Elbaz and Roberto Cavalli. In addition to the book (from which a portion of proceeds are going to UNICEF) the retailer is also doing a retrospective exhibition at its Fifth Avenue flagship starting October 27th.
Cop the book on November 6, along with any Wang for H&M merchandise you may or may not score. It should be available in about 250 stores and will only cost around $15 bucks.
