If the Spring 2015 and Resort 2015 collections didn’t already give us the gist that 1960’s trends were going to be huge this year, Raf Simons’ Christian Dior Spring 2015 Couture collection sure did.
Though David’ Bowie’s ability to reinvent himself inspired the collection, it brought the decade to us with Simons’ futuristic touch on vintage trends. The ladylike flared dresses and skirts that featured embroidery and sequin will forever be a Dior classic, but the plastic coats, printed bodysuits and vinyl boots all took the collection to new heights: the reinvention if you will.
If the vinyl boots, both thigh-high and ankle length, with blocked heels don’t make you feel as if you’re on set of a Twiggy magazine photo shoot, the small touches such as a mini skirt paired on top of a bodysuit, or a cutout dress with metal detailing will.
Take a look below to see a few of our favorite looks from the futuristic, ’60’s reinvented Christian Dior Spring 2015 Couture show.
