After a 3-year absence , Forever 21 is joining the fast fashion scene of 5th Avenue once again! The retailer announced Friday in a statement that it will be opening a new flagship store on February 7th.
The huge space will cover 36,000 square feet over five stories and include all the departments we love – Forever 21 Men, Forever 21+, basics, denim, shoes and Forever 21 Contemporary. Located at 640 Fifth Avenue, between 51st and 52nd streets, the popular retailer will be taking over a former H&M store that closed in December.
But this isn’t the first time the fast fashion company will be apart of the crowded shopping neighborhood. The Los Angeles-based retailer took over a Japanese department store in 2010 and shut down in February of 2012.
Its new location will be surrounded by stores like Zara, Uniqlo, Topshop and Aldo – which are some pretty stylish neighbors, if you ask us! Either way, we’re in for the ride whether it’s the 5th Ave or Union Square location. It simply means more inventory for us to choose from.
