It’s no real surprise that Tory Burch has completely taken the fashion world by storm. We can’t go anywhere without spotting a logo handbag, iPhone case or ballerina flats. Her popularity with women has led to the brand’s whopping $3.5 billion value, as reported by WWD. This is $1.25 billion increase from 2012.
Unlike rival C.Wonder, created by Burch’s ex husband Chris, that closed its doors recently, Tory’s empire has succeeded thanks to private investor share swaps leading to the company’s big boom. And although her company continues a private entity, we wouldn’t be surprised if she went public soon.
Launched in 2004, the line was first named TRB by Tory Burch, which was later renamed to Tory Burch. After endorsements from Oprah and instant success online, Burch’s line rapidly grew to the powerhouse it is today. We are more than excited to Tory Burch take over the retail world.
