Blazin’ or Blasé? Ashanti Goes Gold for 106 & Park Appearance (Does The R&B Princess Need to Hire a Stylist?)

She’s been off the scene for quite a while, but Ashanti recently visited 106 & Park to premiere the video for her new single, “The Woman You Love,” featuring Busta Rhymes. The singer showed up in a casual white top, glittery shoes, and form-fitting gold pants from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection of Lebanese designer, Jad Ghandour. The former Murder Inc. mami has hips for days, and her curves definitely filled out this runway look.

StyleBlazers, do you love it or will our girl need to rethink stylists for her comeback?

I’ve alway fort she needed a stylist

  17. says:

What was she thinking! Her legs are too short/thick for this style of pant. These pants only emphasize that/make them look even shorter and thicker. Maybe if it were in black/not shinny/so tight  it would look better. She is cute though. Not hating…just don’t like those pants on her at all, Just because you like something doesn’t mean you can wear it. These pants should be worn by ladies with long slender/shapely legs.

  18. says:

Blu Ivy’s real mother looks great. After all, she did just give birth to Jay Z’s daughter.

  19. says:

On someone like Cassie it would be cute but Ashanti’s too thick for those pants.

      she is gorgeous!

      I love Ashanti’s body but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with
saying that all tight pants do NOT look good on bottom heavy women.

Not all low cut/cleavage bearing tops look good on women with ample bosoms

  20. says:

Not all the time different is good

  21. says:

The comments are here are horrible. Ashanti looks good! Her shape is to die for.

  22. says:

UmmmYEP!  ANEW STYLIST IS IN ORDER.  Looking at the clip on 106 I heard her say that her “stylist” picked out the outfit for her.  To me it appear she freaked out a fresh white T from the local corner party store and said “Hey, I got my gold pants with me, I can wear that!  ….if anyone has a gold necklace or accessories I can borrow?  And my hair is mess too; lets brush it to the side and put a lil cute fishbone braid in it, yeah, that’ll work’.   Well it worked but it was a hot mess.  Oh well, celebs are pressed for time too.  This was an obvious crunch time.

  23. says:

I’m not diggin the PARTY STORE WHITE-T $4.99 SPECIAL.  TACKY

  24. says:

She looks great love her shape

  25. says:

Yes, she needs a stylist.  She always looks like she’s playing dress-up in her mom’s cabaret clothes.

The pants are nice, the shirt is too casual. A white button down quarter length sleeved blouse & a white fedora with gold detailing would have made it really nice. Perhaps white heels with gold detailing & taking off a few inches of the inseam since she’s petite.
