This Pakistani model is the first to rock a trench coat for Burberry, and she is only 5 years old.
Laila Naim is the first Pakistani to model for the British brand, and she is the absolute cutest. With a face full of bangs and a smile from ear to ear, Naim stars in a children’s ad for Burberry that has her rocking the traditional Burberry trench coat, and wrapped up in a Burberry scarf with another chubby cheek model.
In a recent interview with Dawn.com, Naim’s mom Sadia opened up about her daughter’s big modeling gig, and what the audition was like.
“We nearly didn’t go as I was very busy,” says Sadia. “The audition was like a proper photo shoot. Soon after, we heard she had been selected from the many, many children that auditioned. She loves the camera and is a natural, at her first shoot the shoot’s creative director asked if she had been doing this for a long time! She was totally comfortable in front of the camera and Burberry team.”
And while she might be a natural in front of the camera, Laila is just your average 5-year-old. She loves “Frozen,” loves to draw and paint and annoy her older brother.
This will not be the last we will see of the tiny model either. She recently shot a commercial with Burberry, and will filming another one soon. She has also been featured in magazines Marie Claire, Red and Tatler.
