In the (alleged) words of Paul Revere: the British are coming.

Well, in this case, the Brits arrived, and in style. London’s it crowd took over Los Angeles last night for the Burberry London in Los Angeles event held at the Griffith Observatory. Christopher Bailey was the man of the hour, as supermodels, actresses and socialites descended to see a runway show and take part in a totally British garden party.

And there were more famous Brit faces than we can count. Victoria Beckham and her beautiful brood, Elton John, Cara Delevigne, Naomi Campbell, Suki Waterhouse, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham, and Anna Wintour.

However, Hollywood can not resist a good party so we also spotted some American stars such as January Jones, Rachel Zoe, Mila Kunis, Kate Beckinsale and Jaime King.

Los Angeles is slowing earning its spot as a fashion capital following this show. Tom Ford recently bypassed Paris, London and New York City to showcase his latest collection in Los Angeles, while Karl Lagerfeld Chanel took over nearby Palm Springs.

When it comes to the actual runway show, the first ever at the observatory, it really was a British invasion. From the British Queen’s horse guard to James Corden (yes, that James Corden) closing the show next to Naomi Campbell, it really did bring London to Hollywood.
