Dressing for an outdoor wedding can be a bit tricky. You want to be casual for the open-air festivities, but of course you don't want to be too casual and underdressed. The great thing about an outdoor ceremony is that you have license to be a bit more creative with your outfit. Take cues from the spring and summer elements and rock bright hues and bold patterns. Lighter materials like cotton and silk let your skin breath and ensure you'll be comfortable during the ceremony. There are some items you want to stay away from— tank tops or jeans are just way too carefree, and spiked heels are a no-no if you'll be walking in sand or grass. Instead, a gladiator sandal is a great option. And if you must go with a heel, try a wedge.
