PFW seems to be the older sister of fashion, beauty and all things grown up this season; where we saw plain faces, and unkempt hair in New York, Paris has been showcasing grown-up fashion, with womanly shapes. The Christian Dior Fall 2016 didn’t differ from this fact as models donned side-parted hair, statement earrings and dark vampy lips; they were definitely women to be taken seriously.
With a palette of dark tailoring, Dior put a smart spin on the next season’s collection, boasting lapels, collars, tailored waists and mature silhouettes. We don’t really expect much more from the luxury fashion house, who’s known for it’s lady-like demeanor. This season also saw the launch of a new iconic handbag style; rectangle in shape, with a wide shoulder strap and finished with the signature Dior ‘CD’ charms. It seems as though next season calls for grown-up, vampy chic.
