Lineisy Monetero exploded onto the fashion scene with here signature cropped afro and widows peak. Now as the model’s hair grows she is rocking it a bit fuller at the top, tapered at the sides. Her runway looks include defined curls, a fluffed fro and smooth rows to mimic the finger waved hair at Marni.
Lineisy isn’t the only model with a tiny fro. Amilna Estevao’s short cut is equally as covetable. Stylists looked to similar styles as Montero alond with soft twists.
As your natural hair starts to grow out from a cropped fro, you have to try some in between styles before all the hair is a uniform long length. Long at the top is your best bet and looks pretty cute on Alécia Morais who’s hair usually has been styled straight before the high fro, stacked loose ringlet and twist shown above.
Have a more ringlet curl pattern? You can go long at the top too! Model Dilone’s ringlets looked great cascading in a full or side swept bag. If you’re not confident in your definition try a back combed or pinned style for a tomboyish look.
Curls that no longer need closed cut or shaved around the edges give you more room to play. You can let them halo around your face, part either on the side or middle and use different styling products and techniques to stretch the girls into soft waves or even a wet look like Damaris Goddrie and Aya Jones.
