Think Beyond the Blue Jean
It’s easy to always think about a quintessential blue jean. After all, a classic pair of jeans is wardrobe staple, but it doesn’t have to be when you are wearing denim on denim. Instead, opt for a skirt or shorts for a fresh and unexpected take on the trend.

It’s all in how you mix your denim
If the idea of a Canadian tuxedo makes you cringe, then make sure to mix different shades of denim when trying the denim on denim look. Whatever you do, don’t go for a monochromatic denim ensemble because you’ll look like you just walked in from the local rodeo. It’s important to not only mix lighter and darker shades, but washes and textures too. And while you are at it, make sure you keep color placement in mind. Lighter shades of denim will make you look larger, while darker shades of denim have a slimming effect.
Experiment with Denim Accessories
Who said that denim on denim applies to only clothing? You can easily stack denim by wearing denim heels with a different shade of jeans. The trick here is be careful with how much denim your completed look includes. Do not, we repeat, DO NOT wear head-to-toe denim. Just no.
